About Dr. Wolf

Science, empathy,
and the art of listening.

I am Nancy S. Wolf, M.D., Psy.D., a board-certified psychiatrist working with adults, adolescents, and children.

My practice brings together psychotherapy, careful medication evaluation, and an interest in each person’s emotional and developmental experience. I value accurate diagnosis and a treatment approach tailored to the individual.

How I approach care

I aim to understand what brings you to treatment. I consider your emotional experience in the wider context of your life as we decide on an approach suited to you.

Clinical interests & research

The music of psychiatry

Before medicine, I pursued a professional career as a flutist, performing in the United States and abroad and earning a Master of Music at Yale. Music calls for close listening, sensitivity to timing, and attention to nuance. Those qualities continue to inform how I listen to patients and understand their individual stories.
